Perfect Stranger was a psychological thriller with two big stars, Bruce Willis and Halle Berry, about a woman who goes undercover to solve the murder of her best friend. WHi put users in the apartment of Berry’s character, Rowena, with eight areas of interaction that featured promotional items and key elements of the plot. Users could log onto Rowena’s computer, read her emails (the same ones used in the film) and Google Bruce Willis’s ad exec character. They could watch the film’s trailer on Rowena’s TV, shuffle through her pictures and notes and even listen to the messages on her answering machine. The site created an alluring interactive experience without giving away the film’s big plot twist.
